I’m figuring out online-play things (slightly more complicated than I anticipated) as I go, but for now there’s a .zip file (approx. 20 MB) containing every game. (Many thanks to Matt Weiner for hosting.)

Voting is open (many thanks to Rikard Peterson for serving as official ballot-counter), and will remain open until the end of the month.

A final game was disqualified, on the grounds that a Seltani age can’t reasonably satisfy the following rule:

I want to make a game in a certain platform. Is that cool?
The only restriction on platforms is that the game you submit must be playable as-is, not reliant on being hosted on a specific server or website. (This doesn’t forbid hosting elsewhere – but if your game breaks if hosted on the IF Archive or played offline, that’s a problem.)

At present, Seltani games only run on the Seltani server. It would be possible to set up another Seltani server and to rebuild (not import) the age in it – but that would be a process more akin to porting a game than simply rehosting it. I encourage you to play it anyway, but it’s being excluded from the voting.

Discussion Guidelines

You can talk about games wherever and however you please. You are politely requested, however, not to share any information that you may have about secret author identities, even if it’s only by way of speculation, and regardless of how careless authors are about concealing them.

Bear in mind that any review posted of a game will count as a bonus Yes vote for it, regardless of the review’s content. If you want to post a negative review without lending aid to the game in question, you can always wait until after voting closes. (Abuse this system at your peril.)

Have fun, all!

  1. Jason Dyer says:

Looks like the zip file now includes the previous zip file inside of it so it is twice as big as it needs to be.

  2. You’ve got an extra space (%20) at the end of the link to “Chrome Country”, breaking it.

  3. matt w says:

Whoops, Jason, sorry about the double-sized zip; that’s my fault (due to the way I originally uploaded the files). I think there’s another file correction coming which will require another rezipping; when I do that I’ll take care of the issue.

I accidentally took the .zip file down, but it should be up now (and updated).
